Interactive, online Annual Reports
An interactive online Annual Report can mean different things to different people. There are a number of solutions available to clients, each with increasing complexity and cost. They don’t have to cost a fortune.

Increasingly, our clients want digital versions of their reports which does not just mean a PDF that they can add to their website (although PDFs still have their place). So, starting with the simplest option, we offer a range of interactive, online annual report solutions.
We can advise on structure, content and provide design and build, all in-house. We are able to provide files to be hosted on your own servers, working with your own IT team, or host it for you and take care of the whole thing.

Below is a list of online solutions and generally speaking, they are in order of complexity, cost and wow-factor.
Optimised Annual Report PDF
Essentially what we do is take the print-ready annual report and export it, compressing the file size, removing blank or unessential pages, adding hypertext links to the contents or links to embedded video or web pages. These PDF are usually sent via email for hosting on the client website. Occasionally they get embedded into a ‘flip book’ program that simulates turning a page. No great shakes, but they do serve a purpose.
Interactive animated Annual Report
The next step up the ‘solution ladder’ is to take the PDF and host it within an online framework and as the ‘virtual’ page load, things like charts and diagrams, photos and pull-out text animate it.
Summary Annual Report
This does away with PDFs altogether and in my view the best solution of the lot. This solution is great for report summaries. It is a custom build integrating animation, video - whatever you want. They are mobile-friendly and render well. There tends to be a scrolling home page and a hamburger menu that takes you down to the section of a different page entirely.
There is usually a link to download the complete report PDF.
Micro-site annual Report
This final solution builds on the Summary Report solution and is essentially a mini-website with all that entails. These are hosted online or on an intranet depending on the sensitivity of the content.
