Right Side Up TV website project overview

There are 2 million expats living in the UK and this London based company came to us with the idea of creating a TV channel just for them. We named them, branded them and created this lively website for them to publicise all their work for them.

What happened:

They had an idea; 2 million expats live in the UK, what if they had their own TV channel with news, sport, music and drama from back home? But what should we call this new satellite channel? How can we pitch it to advertisers and to the likes of Sky? Oh, and we haven't got much money – or time. We named them, branded them and gave them a kit to get the money and backing to go live.

Why it was good:

Cartographers have always been from the Northern hemisphere, to them the world is this way up. We looked at it from the audiences point of view. South Africans, Australians and New Zealanders aren't upside down, to them, they are the right side up.

When it was finished:

Right Side Up TV has all the local content providers signed up. Sky will broadcast it. Should be live very soon. http://www.rightsideup.tv
