Firstly we spent time researching The Times new website. We needed to understand how their new sites styles worked, how they apply their conventions and how we could apply them to the Total Golf Club model.
We used their own CSS and colour palette and built the templates to enable a smooth transition from the Total Golf Club site ensuring a seamless integration into The Times 'sub-sites'.
The first response from the client was 'how come it takes me months to get things like this done and it's only taken you guys a week?' Well, without destroying the magic, we had done all of the thinking in the early design stages. We made sure we had allowed for (almost) every eventuality, meaning when we came to implement the theory, putting it into practice was easy (ish).
