What happened

Hamilton Renata Search and Selection is a headhunting and data capture/seller for the international capital markets. Hamilton Renata realised they could take the traditional paper based service into a new realm by building a database website – offering a more powerful and searchable service. With only four/five clients of top European Banks to serve, they built a Perl database and offered this exclusive service in a secure, password protected area.

Why it was good

What became apparent was the site not only needed a two click system for the client to reach the right search criteria, but, a customised set of icons as well. These can be used not only in the navigation bar, but also throughout the site, enabling intuitive navigation.

What happened next

We designed templates for the site covering all of the searchable areas: individual and product search. We also provided structure and design for the Help section, which included a site search. Having ensured the design was consistent, we designed and built a Splash page, as the client requested, which is a Flash animation with specially commissioned music.
