Health and Safety Policy

The primary objective of the Navig8 Health and Safety policy is a commitment to take all measures, within reasons of practice to ensure the health, safety and welfare of all persons at work and to protect visitors to our premises against risks to their health and safety.

As an employee you have a legal duty to act in a safe manner and not to endanger yourself or others by your actions. All health and safety procedures are communicated to staff and all staff are encouraged to play a positive role in developing and maintaining a healthy and safe working environment and to report health and safety issues to management.

As Navig8 expands, health and safety procedures will be developed to reflect the growth of the organisation and the environment. The management of Navig8 is committed to developing the health and safety framework in order to develop and maintain the positive health and safety culture within the company.

Our general statement of policy, in compliance with Health and Safety guidelines is:

• To provide adequate elimination or control of the health and safety risks arising from our work activities.
• To develop and maintain a pro-active management system for health, safety and welfare.
• To consult with our employees on matters affecting their health and safety.
• To provide a safe place of work with a means of safe access and exit.
• To provide and maintain a safe plant and equipment.
• To ensure safe handling, storage and use of substances.
• To provide information, instruction and supervision for employees.
• To ensure all employees are competent to do their tasks, and to give them adequate training.
• To prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health.
• To maintain safe and healthy working conditions.
• To review and revise this policy as necessary at regular intervals.
